Idea
Trees Upside-down was exhibited at the Singapore Art Museum from 18 May to 29 October 2023 along Bras Basah Road, Singapore.
Flipped, inverted, and enlarged images of tree shadows merge with real shadows cast by nearby trees, shifting with changing light and weather. This interplay transforms the hoarding from a static surface into a dynamic canvas, reflecting how nothing exists in isolation.
The work invites a fresh perspective on everyday surroundings—what might be called a sense of “breeziness”—highlighting our connection to the natural world through subtle, ever-changing interactions.
